About a week before school got out for Christmas break I was able to chaperon on a field trip for Sydnee's class. First we went to the Hale Center Theater to see a children's production of A Christmas Carol, then we went to a rest home to sing & deliver handmade cards from the kids.
The kids in the play did a really good job, it was fun to watch!
This little lady at the rest home was so cute, she enjoyed the kids singing so much. One of the mom's there realized that she knew who she was and shared with us that she had been involved with music most of her life. She knew how to play instruments, had been a chorister for performing choirs and taught many lessons in her lifetime. She sang along with the kids to all the songs with a cheerful look on her face!
They all really enjoyed the cards the kids made for them too!
