Nassau, Bahamas

That did it!!!
Seeing a Disney ship in person sealed the deal...

We've been talking about how fun it would be to take the kids on a Disney cruise for quite a while now, and after seeing an actual ship we decided it's a must! You can actually get in on some really good deals and they're releasing a new ship next January so we figure we can plan and save to go next year!!! If anyone's interested, we'd love it if you came too... I think the kids would have a blast if there are even more kids to celebrate and play with!

Nassau was... so amazing!
We spent the day at the Atlantis Resort!

Nothing I can say will describe how cool it is... the photos say it all!

(I would croak on the spot if I ever saw this monster fish swimming toward me!)

Grand Turk, Bahamas

Grand Turk, Bahamas was our first place to visit and I have to say.. what a vast difference from Mexico! There are some pretty places in Mexico, but the places we visited in the Bahamas were so much cleaner, the water & beaches were gorgeous beyond words, and the main thing I loved... was being able to enjoy the island and the beach without having the locals bugging me every time I blinked or turned around.. wanting me to buy something, let them braid my hair or pour some mystery turtle oil on me and start massaging me without my permission. Eeewww... does that bug anyone else or is it just me??? On our last cruise when we were in Acapulco, I literally had to pick up a ladies hand off my shoulder and push her away after I'd already said I was not interested in her massage numerous times. That drives me nuts! I'm on a vacation and I wanna lay here and relax without interruptions, so leave me alone, thank you very much!

We:
  • savored a yummy smoothie that cost entirely too much!
  • sunbathed on the beach, splashed in the waves & I swallowed a big gulp of salt water. bluughhhh-
  • rented a scooter & I saw my life flash before my eyes every time it felt like we were leaning to the side to much or making too sharp of a turn...
  • visited an extremely old rusted lighthouse with an amazing view, scenes that left images imprinted on our minds that we shall never forget... that goes for Nassau too!
(I love bougainvillea, I wish we could grow it where we live)

(wild donkeys were crossing the street as we drove around the island on our scooter adventure)
