Sosa Family Reunion: 4th of July!!!

The 4th of July was a total BLAST!!!

Some of the guys in the family got up early and ran the 5k Freedom Run, then everybody met up at our house for the yummiest breakfast cookout ever! Elisa made lemon blueberry pancakes from scratch and Carolina made buttermilk syrup from scratch! Oh.my.word... the combination of the two were so good! We also had sausage & bacon, what breakfast cookout would be complete without a little of that?

About the time we were finishing up with breakfast the water bounce house arrived for the kids!!! YAY!

Mid-afternoon the moms needed a little time away, we made a mad dash for the semi-annual V.S. bra sale and the big sale at bath and body! We laughed so hard... it was lots of fun.

Once we got back we all felt like a new woman with our new bras on and were ready for the potluck bar-b-que and fireworks later that night!

Ha-ha-ha... and that's how the story ends!
Sydnee & Hallie made up a dance and performed it for everyone!

God Bless America~

Andres ran the Freedom Run 10K on the morning of the 4th with some of his siblings and their spouses. He had a lot of fun, it was his first organized race and now he's all pumped to do the Provo Canyon Half Marathon! I want to do it with them next year, but I better start training.. cuz I don't think I could do more than a 5K right now. Good job Sweetie!!!

Andres' family all met for the big Provo Parade after the race but we chose to skip out on that, I used to like the small town parades when I was little and probably because we would sometimes ride on one of my Dad's work trucks and throw Salt Water Taffy out to advertise for my Dad's Business and later I would ride on floats for dance... Going to Parades and other big crowded events now are often not enjoyable for McKynlee or the rest of us for that matter, so we have to pick and choose our outings.

Andres' parents and sisters planned an awesome celebration that we went to around lunch time & throughout the rest of the day! A big thanks from us to you! There was a huge BBQ of course.. and other yummy munchies. They rented a big blow up, water-jumper for the kids to play in which turned out to be a major hit, I think we need to do that every year.. but if we do, we should probably all go in on the cost of the rental instead of having his parents fork out the whole bill, especially since our kids are the ones using it. The kids had water balloon fights too, and we ended the night with fireworks of course!

Look at all that meat.. and that's just a portion of it.- Gotta love a good old Argentine Asado!!! Mmm.. Mmm... Good~

The big, blow up water-jumper, complete with slide and all! The kids had a blast with this, it makes me wish I had one in my backyard all summer long!

Abu -n- Kynlee playing during the fireworks!

When we left to head home we had the perfect view of the Stadium of Fire's grand finale of fireworks driving towards it on the freeway and yet we didn't have to be stuck in the crowd and traffic jam trying to get home.. and the kids were even more excited when we got home to find that our annual culd-e-sac fireworks party was still going strong! So we all went out and partied some more~~~
