we managed to fit it all in...

Sept. 29th after school schedule:

• homework
• boy's soccer practice 4:30-6:00
• boy's pack mtg. for scouts, received awards so Andres and I both wanted to be there @ 6:30
• Sydnee & I booked it up town for my Mom's surprise bday dinner, got there late but not as late as I thought we would..
• hurried back home by 10:00 to kiss -n- hug Andres goodbye before he left on a spur of the moment red eye flight out of town 'til Friday night.

Pack Meeting!

Right after we got back from our trip to Jackson Hole & Yellowstone, the boys had pack meeting for scouts! They earned a bunch of awards for things they've been working on... 

Andres was recognized along with other leaders and given a little token of appreciation for his years of service with the Scouts!

When they called us up to present the boys with their awards, one of them was called "The Family Man" award and when the leader presented it to Chandler he responded quick as a wit with.. "I'm not a Family Man... I'm a Ladies Man!" and we all burst into laughs!!! He's such a funny kid!

After the awards they broke up into teams and played some games! Chandler was almost the last one standing in capture the flag.. he came in second!

It was that time of year again.. the pinewood derby! 

This year Sydnee got to participate too! She was SO excited... At the beginning of the year in her Activity Days group they got together and wrote down things they wanted to do throughout the year. For the Daddy-Daughter activity they all decided that they really wanted to do a pinewood derby, and that they did! 

The boys have done the pinewood derby race before but didn't do as well as they'd hoped to, so this year we put some major time and effort into making the best-est fast-est cars ever! Andres did research online and had a friend of his that we like to call the pinewood derby expert give us some winning tips.
