...which she's known to do sometimes.. and lots of times she falls asleep right before it's time to normally get up to get ready for school and so I call the bus driver and tell him that I'll be letting her get some sleep and taking her in later.. but sometimes, she's still goin' strong and talkin' -n- gigglin' so we decide to go ahead and send her despite the fact that she just stayed up the whole night.
Well.. that's what we did when that's exactly what happened a couple of weeks before school got out and when she got home from school she was asleep on the bus.. gee, I wonder why??? So I took her inside and tucked her in her bed knowing that she was tired and wanted/needed to sleep but hoping she'd wake up before too long so she could still fall asleep at or around her normal bedtime that night. She got all gritty when I tucked her in cozy and the sides of her mouth curved upward in the cutest little grin as if she was saying "Thanks Mom.. that's just what I wanted!"
The day turned to evening... the evening turned to night... and she still hadn't woke up. At that point we just crossed our fingers in hopes that she wouldn't wake up all bright eyed and bushy tailed around midnight or two in the morning and went to bed. Next thing I know it's morning, time to get ready for school and she'd slept from the time she got home from school all-the-way-to-the-next-morning! I couldn't believe it.
We thought for sure when we opened her bedroom door we were bound to see her laying there naked since that too is not an uncommon thing to find if she's not dressed in zip-up pajamas with a pin at the top, and since I'd laid her down for what I thought would just be a nap in her outfit from school... we were prepared for the worse.. even for pee on the bed. But to our amazement we didn't find either!!!
Instead, she had taken off her diaper and thrown it on the floor and then put her pants back on with two legs down one hole and dozed off to sleep again.. and the bed was all dry, YAY!!!!!

Mother's Day
Mother's Day delivered much goodness!!! This gritty chandelier amongst expressions of love & other goodies! I had put it on lay-away at this old antique shop almost a month before and when Andres called my Mom to ask her if she knew of anything specific I would like, she told him about the white flower chandelier! (Thanks Mom!) I was so excited to see it sitting on the table Sunday morning, and I'm loving it more than ever each and every day!
Things to Remember:
- The songs Tanner sang to me in his little preschool Mother's Day program.
- The planted flowerpot from Kynlee, the handmade necklace with words of love from Sydnee and other handmade gifts from the boys.
- Saturday's "all about me" date night with Andres. Shopping at the Mall for some of my favorite things, Beautiful Body Cream and a white ruffle cardigan from DownEast! A stop by Terra Mia for some hazelnut and almond gelato, then off to a movie.
- and of course... the white flower chandelier!!!
