Friday Night - Family Night

Last Friday night we went out on the town with the kids. First we stopped off at Disvovery Gateway, then we had dinner at a southwestern restaurant, afterwards we found ourselves at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for some goodies before heading down to the water splash area where the kids could hardly wait to run around and get wet! Believe it or not.. after we got everyone all dried off and were walking back to the car, we decided to stop for ice cream too!!! HOLY MOLY, no limits on the sweets that night, I guess.

Unfortunatley, none of my pictures with Sydnee in them turned out. I sooo need to take some classes on how to use my darn camera, or maybe I should just read the directions, huh?? Now that's a novel idea.. I still don't know how to take a good "night-time" picture.

Father's Day BBQs for the Best Dad's Ever

We hosted two BBQs Father's Day weekend for the best Dad's ever! Saturday we did one for my Dad because he was leaving Sunday after church to go fishing in Flaming Gorge and Sunday we did one for Andres & his Dad, along with some of Andres' brothers and sisters and their families. They were both lots of fun! Sunday night we roasted marshmellows at the firepit with everyone. I love having people over to eat and play outside! I was busier at Sundays BBQ and didn't realize 'til the end of the night that I hadn't taken any photos. : (

First Annual: Make Your Own Lego Movie

One of our neighbors thought it would be fun for the boys in our culdesac to take a week or two and work on making their own Lego movie and then gather everyone together for an outdoor movie premier night where everyone would debut their new Lego film. The kids had a lot of fun preparing and getting ready for it. Last night was the premier, I wasn't here because of bunco night; but another one of my neighbors was so kind to send me some of the photos she took.

Sydnee's Violin Recital

Sydnee played Beauty & the Beast for her solo piece and she also participated in a group number. She hasn't been playing her solo number very long at all & didn't have it memorized yet, so she read the music and played it all the way through! She did such a great job!!!

NO, Piggie-Piggie NO!!!

McKynlee has grown to LOVE the swing and she could literally spend HOURS doing it! (If only it were motorized..) The first time we took her out this season, she didn't have any shoes on and Pigwit started chasing the swing back and forth and nipping at her toes and I said "NO, Piggie-Piggie NO!" and she thought it was hilarious. So now every time she swings, she wears shoes and Pigwit of course chases and nips at her toes while she giggles & says "NO, Piggie-Piggie NO!" It's so cute...
