Father & Sons Campout

A few weeks ago Andres & all the boys went on the Father & Sons Campout! The boys were so excited, they'd been looking forward to it for weeks... and when I say "boys" I mean Andres too! Lately, Andres and the boys have all gotten into airsoft guns and having wars with other dad's and their sons in our neighborhood, so they all geared up and went up to the camp early for an extreme airsoft war!

It rained on 'em pretty good... everybody was soaked, but nobody seemed to mind. If anything.. it added adventure and that they liked!

Our GREAT Pumpkin CAMPING Trip!

We went on our Great Pumpkin Camping trip down to Zion River Resort this last weekend. It's been booked on the calendar since Spring, so we've all been looking forward to it for a very long time. We went with G-ma and G-pa Oxley, the Mousaw family and the Herway family! I must say... that we had just as much fun as we had anticipated we would. It was a good opportunity to build relationships and make unforgettable memories, and that's just what we did! We've decided that it needs to be a tradition from now on; but we'd love to have even more of our freinds and family come next year. We missed the Arthurs and my brother Steve and his family. The more the merrier!!!

We had the best location too.. we were all camping right next to each other, 4 in a row and we were backed up to the new play-ground that they just put in. The kids loved it. They have a heated pool where the kids went swimming and a little gift shop with all sorts of goodies for young and old. The kids took their bikes and scooters and rode them all around. We went up to Zions National Park and drove through to see the gorgeous scenery. It was a beautiful crisp autumn day! We also stopped off at a gritty little organic orchard where the kids played in the leaves and we got some fresh squeezed apple cider and other fall treats.

And... last but not least, they did a pumpkin decorating contest for the kids there at the resort, had them break a pinata and served them sugar doughnuts with warm apple cider. To say the whole weekend was a BLAST... is an understatement!
