Platinum Cruise '08 - Coming to a Close

..And yet, another sunset..

More little towel buddies we came back to each night after dinner. Man, you really do get spoiled having someone come in and constantly picking up your room & bathroom, straightening your bed and turning it down in the evening.. It's goona take me a week to get back into the groove of having to do all these things for myself. LOL-

We are really going to miss these two couples. The two guys are brothers to one of the owners of Platinum. They came along on the cruise this year and we loved getting to know them, having dinner together and just hanging out. Unfortunately, neither one of them live where we do, so we won't be able to see them again for quite some time and that's a bummer. It's not everyday that you meet good friends like them.. Thank goodness for blogs though, we'll be able to keep in touch and still get to know each other and their families that way!

Platinum held lots of games and parties on the ship, one of which was karaoke. The ship also holds it's own karaoke nights and then takes the winners of each night and has them perform in a "Legends of the Stars" performance as a certain artist the last night on the ship. Five people from Platinum ended up performing in this big show as Elvis, Garth Brooks, Brittany Spears, Sir Elton John & Ricky Martin! Platinum definitely stole the show, they all did an awesome job!

Ok- This is way funny! We were waiting up on the top deck of the ship on the morning of departure and all of the sudden Andres says "Oh my gosh, what is that?? Is that a whale???" ..And I do have to say at first glance, from that high up and looking straight at it, it really did look like it could've been a whale, but I looked closer and I was like "No, it's a man in a little motor boat! HA HA HA" As it got closer to the ship we took pictures and laughed our heads off.

This guy is dang funny! I could easily use a daily dose of his humor, he's constantly cracking a joke and making people laugh their butts off. Heck, he's even funny when we're all sweatin' bullets waiting in a line for the charter bus to take us to the airport. We hung out with them too, imagine that.. how can you NOT hang out with someone that's THAT HILARIOUS! His wife is great too, we had a lot of fun with them.

I'm so glad you guys had a fun and relaxing cruise. Someday we may go on one. It's Heather's dream for her 14th birthday--we shall see. :)
