Jam Packed

Thursday, Nov. 20th was jam packed full of events the entire day! Here's a little of what we did:

  1. The boys performed in their Thanksgiving Turkey Play at school.
  2. Sydnee performed in her violin recital.
  3. The boys raced their rockets in the space derby pack meeting for scouts.
  4. I went to the midnight showing of Twilight with the Foxy-Oxley Gals.
-A few days before the space derby Andres helped the boys make their rockets. Thank goodness our neighbor had a machine to do it, we could've been spending hours trying to change that structure from square to round, but instead it went nikety-split & the boys had fun!!! {including Andres: see that big smile on his face in the first picture}.

Mmm... Yummy!
There's just something sexy about a guy doing manual labor!!!

Tanner & Emma {his best friend} in her garage where we were doing the project. Check out her mismatching socks! One day she came over in everything polka-dots, but each thing was in total different colors and sizes of polka-dots, ya gotta love it!

-The finished products of their imaginations-

At the Space Derby

Marcus anxiously awaits the placement of his rocket in the race..

Happy with the results, his rocket took first.. he shows Andres how fast it went!!!

Grandpa was always making sure their rockets were in ship-shape to race!

Chandlers wondering how his rocket will do in the race...

He can't believe it... after many problems with his propeller and FINALLY borrowing Marcus' propeller from his rocket after he was done racing, Chandler came in first too!!!

An excited & happy ending after all!

-Sydnee at her violin recital-

She played: "Go Tell Aunt Rhody"

Sydnee did the best at this recital then she's ever done before. She practiced really hard to be able to play through her song with no stops and to have it memorized and it definitely paid off. You can tell from the look on her face as she's walking back to her seat, that she's surprisingly pleased with her performance, in fact she was so excited inside that she forgot to bow after she was done and then realized as she was walking away and didn't know if she should go back or not.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Play
at the boys school

Tanner was feeling mad because I wouldn't let him wander up by the stage and run around like a turkey.. so I started tickling him and that fixed everything!

Andres got a shot of Sydnee while she was going back to class after the performance.

Marcus was a TV reporter in the play.

Chandler was a turkey in the play.

Good job capturing all the action of your busy day. I'm just curious about what you thought of Twilight. :)
